Ornate FC Osler Table Lamp
A tall and ornate brass table lamp dating back to the Art Nouveau period.
The brass lamp is made by FC Osler and the maker’s stamp can be seen underneath one foot.
Fitted with a shallow vaseline glass shade which has been made for us by an artisan glass blower here in the UK. If you would like to discuss alternative shades, please enquire as we have a wide range of antique and hand made vaseline glass shades.
Size 52cm tall, Width at base 15cm. Diameter of shade at rim 14cm.
A little history about F C Osler. Thomas Osler established a glassmaking company in Birmingham in 1807 and mainly manufactured glass chandelier components. The company was taken over by his sons Follet and Clarkson in 1831 and relocated to London soon gaining a worldwide reputation for high quality luxury glassware. In the early 1900’s the factory began to produce metal electrical fittings and merged with Faraday and Son. You can read a little more of the history of this prestigious lighting company HERE
Wired with approximately 2 metres of antique style braided triple flex in antique gold. Fitted with a switched B22 bayonet bulb holder. PAT tested prior to dispatch.
