Birmingham Guild – Electric Table Lamp No. 7

We are proud to introduce this stunning and iconic table lamp made by the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft.  Simply named Electric Table Lamp No. 7 An example of this lamp can be seen in the V&A Museum in London.

Constructed from a combination of brass and steel.  Featuring the simplest reflector shade in hammered brass.  The stem consists of four lengths of burnished steel bound by contrasting brass rings and balanced upon four brass balls sitting upon a scalloped base plate.

A beautifully designed piece of art, untouched in over 100 years and sympathetically restored.

Birmingham Guild of Handicraft produced furniture and metalware.  Their motto was ‘by hammer and hand’.

Size.  40cm high.  22cm wide.

Wired with approximately 2 metres of antique style braided triple flex in antique gold and an original bakelite switch. Fitted with a new B22 bayonet bulb holder.  PAT tested prior to dispatch.

Please note that antique lighting may have some light age-related  scratches and marks or slight manufacturing flaws.
