Arts and Crafts Brass table Lamp with Vaseline Glass Shade
An unusual hand made table lamp dating back to the very early 20th century. Made from heavy brass with two scrolled splayed feet at the front and one rear heart shaped foot.
The brass is heavily aged and dark and contrasts well with the pink vaseline glass shade which is in a pale cream colour with a wavy edge. The angle of the shade can be changed using the wing nut fitting and there is also a rise and fall fitting on the light.
condition report – there is a n old, neat repair to the arm – see photo. This has been strength checked.
Vaseline glass shade is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Featuring a pink frilled edge and delicate leafy design. Glows green under a black light.
Size 38cm high. 40cm wide. Width of base 17cm. Shade measures 16cm wide.
Wired with approximately 2 metres of antique gold twisted flex. This lamp has been fitted with a new B22 switched bayonet bulb holder
